About Us

Surrey Hampshire Borders Branch is one of the largest CAMRA branches with over 1500 members. It was founded in 1974, the inaugural meeting being held at the Red Lion in Milford, now sadly a Tesco Express.

The Branch covers a large area, stretching over 30 miles along the Surrey & Hampshire Borders, encompassing approximately 500 pubs. The major towns in the areas are Aldershot, Camberley, Farnborough, Farnham, Fleet, Guildford & Woking.

The Branch runs a beer festival in November every year in Woking and supports the Farnham Beerex in April, the longest running beer festival held at a single location in the world.

A quarterly branch magazine, News and Ale, is produced with a circulation of 10,000
