- SHB Branch AGM and visit to Ten Tun Tap Brewery, Alton

Woking Railway Athletic Club, Woking
The branch AGM will feature reports from branch officers and brewery liaison officers, reports on branch campaigning goals, election of officers for the year ahead and agreement of new goals.
After the meeting we are having a trip to the Ten Tun Brewery, Alton. We will catch the 3pm train from Woking to Alton, from where there is a 15 minute walk to the Brewery Tap, where we have a tour and beer samples.
If you would like to attend the brewery trip, please email Nick Banyard at ku.gro.armac.bhs@yraterces so we can advise the brewery of numbers.
The trip will cost £10 per head and must be booked in advance. Payment may be made via PayPal at paypal.me/nickbanyardshb (use your name and "Ten Tun Brewery" as the reference) or via bank transfer. When emailing Nick say whether you are paying via PayPal or need bank details.
- Final GBG 2027 Selection Meeting

The branch's final selection meeting for the Good Beer Guide 2027 will be held in the front snug bar of the Star Inn, Godalming.
This meeting replaces the previously announced Thursday Social.
- Bus Trip to Crossways, Churt

Join Ian Nunn on a bus trip to the Crossways Churt, to mark the introduction of Sunday services on this route.
Catch the No.19 bus from Aldershot (opposite Napier Gardens) at 11.35am (or 11.55am from Farnham) arriving at 12.14pm in Churt.
Return at 3.20pm arriving back in Aldershot at 4.02pm. Be aware that the next and last bus is at 6pm!

Join Brian Bourne and other branch members for our monthly Thursday at the Herbert Wells (Wetherspoons) in Woking.
The Herbert Wells serves a diverse range of up to ten real ales. Kevin Travers will be on hand to help members with the National Beer Scoring System. The NBSS is the primary source of information used in selecting pubs for the Good Beer Guide. Please come along and find out how easy it is for you to contribute to next year's Guide.

Tickets for the 48th Farnham Beerex are now on sale from farnhambeerex.org.uk An early bird discount is available for a limited time.
Beerex is run in association with the Farnham Lions Club CIO so free entry is not available to CAMRA members.
Session times
- Thursday, Friday, Saturday evening: 6.00pm - 11.00pm
- Friday lunchtime: 11.00am - 3.00pm
- Saturday lunchtime: 11.00am - 3.30pm
The minimum age for entry is 18 years.
Tickets give entry to Beerex, a Beerex pint polyglass, a souvenir programme and live music at each session, apart from Friday lunchtime which will be a quiet session with tables and chairs laid out in the Great Hall.
Farnham Maltings provide food at all sessions and there will be a variety of street food vendors located immediately outside the Maltings with easy access to them.

Join Mark Geeson for a tour of beautiful Cambridge, taking in the Cambridge beer festival (free entry to CAMRA members), fine hostelries in the Beer Quarter, while sampling some great beers along the way.

- Branch visit to Cornwall
Friday 11 – Monday 14 September 2026
We will be rerunning a popular trip from 2019 with a long weekend in West Cornwall.
