See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

Closed in September 2019 and purchased by Red Mist Leisure in February 2021, who commenced an extensive refurbishment. With Red Mist being subsequently acquired by Red Lion Holdings its future is unknown.

The Parrot dates from the late 1800's a short distance from the Wey Navigation, near the site of the former Shalford munitions factory.

(the following information will be updated if the pub reopens) The light and airy bar area is comfortably furnished and heated by a real stove. Tasting notes for the regular beers are written on a beam, above the bar. There is a raised, partitioned area at one end, set aside for dining and an addition dining room to the rear; food is available all sessions. The walls are adorned by local artwork and photographs, which are available for sale. The large garden, contains a small waterfall. The pub also offers 5 en-suite rooms and free Wifi is available. If you're lucky you might meet Sammy, a red-striped lizard, that lives in the pub!
