The pub closed in April 2019 following the revocation of its licence. In August 2019 a planning application to convert the pub to a takeaway was submitted, which was eventually approved, though the pub still remains derelict.

It was a stones throw from Woking Station. Formerly the Station, then after just 6 months as Soda and Rye, it closed again. Reopened in August 2016 as a Pound Company until it's closure in April 2019.
