The Parrot dates from the late 1800's and is a short distance from the Wey Navigation, near the site of the former Shalford munitions factory.

It closed in September 2019 but has recently been purchased by Red Mist Leisure as their 11th pub locally. It is now undergoing an extensive refurbishment, with the aim of reopening in the Autumn.
