You are always assured a warm welcome at this family and dog friendly pub. This open plan pub, with three separate seating areas, is situated alongside a picturesque section of the Basingstoke Canal. On fine days you can sit outside observing the wildlife and watching the barges and canoes going past. There are three real ales. The pub has built up a good reputation for its home made freshly cooked food, featuring an imaginative menu and several specials. Booking recommended! There is live music on every Friday night ( currently suspended ) and a pub quiz is held once a fortnight on a Tuesday night. There is also a dart board in a lovely wood panelled room and a resident darts team. A boat rally is held on the canal in May and September organised by a local group. Also a charity music festival August bank holiday weekend. There are lots of photos of the pub from yesteryear displayed on the pub walls. One of particular interest shows the pub with its "Farnham United Breweries" signage from 1915.
