The pub closed in September 2025 and in April 2026 reopened as Bhageecha, a modern Indian restaurant. It is set in a pleasant rural location, has a large car park and is about 200 yards from the beautiful Basingstoke Canal.

Prior to conversion to a restaurant it had been a food-led pub, owned by small local pub company Red Mist that served three beers from the Tilford Brewery, Hogs Back and changing local ale through temperature controlled handpumps.
