See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
A 16th-century inn situated in an attractive village on the North Downs Way long distance trail. The cosy bar has oak beams and an inglenook fireplace and is decorated with hops and hop growing equipment which serves as a reminder that one of the two remaining Surrey hop fields is just 500 yards along The Street. Three guest beers are normally available. Food is served each session except Sunday evening and Monday. Burger night is on Tuesdays, fish and chip night on Wednesdays, and pie night on Thursdays in the winter, at other times a varied menu of freshly cooked food is served. The pub is popular with walkers and cyclists and has regular events including Knitter & Natter, darts, Rock n Roll Bingo, pool and quiz nights, most on a monthly basis.
