See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
A traditional country pub right in the heart of Windlesham Village surrounded by green fields and countryside. This very attractive community free-house dates back to the 17th-Century and was originally a coaching inn and has been owned by the same family for over 100 years. Open all day (Mon to Sat) with 8 different cask ales and one real cider available on hand pumps. All the food from the extensive menu is freshly prepared and cooked to order. Breakfast is also served between 9-11.30am. The bar area consists of two rooms linked by an brick archway and there is a separate restaurant area which can also be booked for private functions. Most of the original features of the pub have been retained e.g. slate floors and wooden beams and there are lots of interesting pieces of brewery memorabilia and old photographs of Windlesham hanging on the walls. The outside garden area is a delight and also has an enclosed children’s play area which is very popular in the summer.
