The Summer Bar has replaced the Winter Bar, with plans for a taproom opening in their new kiln. Ordering and beer collection takes place from a new counter in the downstairs area of the brewery shop. There is a small snug to the left as you enter the shop, where you may also sup a quiet drink. Wine, Silent Pool gin, snacks and soft drinks are also available.
In the bar, drinkers sit on a selection of benches under a covered and enclosed area, outside the brewery. There are overhead heaters and also a log burning stove to keep warm in winter. In summer, the doors and heaters are removed, but the canopy remains. Bottles purchased from the brewery shop can be sampled on site, with Hogs Back bottles attracting a premium to drink in.
The Brewery Shop itself is situated on two floors, in a barn overlooking the brewery. The shop sells from the full range of Hogs Back draught beers to take away from 3.5 pint bottles up to a firkin. The shop also stocks up to 300 bottled beers from Britain and all over the world, together with a good choice of country wines and a range of Hogs Back souvenir chandlery.
