Village pub, formerly the Black Horse, reopened as the Spice Merchant in 2018 after a period of closure. Redecorated in a light, airy style it specialises in Thai and other South East Asian food. The front area is laid out more as a pub and welcomes drinkers, especially by the bar. The walls are adorned with various memorabilia all of which are for sale. There are two real ales available, Timothy Taylors Boltmaker and another rotating beer from a list of four. The pub was successfully registered as an Asset of Community Value in April 2017.
