The News and Ale Summer edition has now been published and is currently being distributed to the usual pubs and clubs (online link below).

This edition celebrates our local pubs with a round up of recent presentations made by Surrey CAMRA branches and the news that the Borough Beer House in Farnham has received the CAMRA Pub Design Award for Conversion to Pub Use.

Turning to beer festivals an account from Farnham Beerex reports that 43 new CAMRA members signed up over the four day event. This year's Great British Beer Festival will be held in Birmingham, the first time it has left London since 1990. On the other hand the Redhill Beer Festival will return to the Merstham Village Hall in October.

The Grumpy Old Man looks back to see whether visiting the pubs of yesteryear was really a simpler experience. As ever all of this is included alongside reports from pubs and breweries from across Surrey and north eastern Hampshire.
