Surrey/Hants Borders branch of CAMRA announces their Pub and Club of the year
The Surrey/Hants Borders branch of CAMRA has announced the winners in the Pub of the Year and Club of the Year competitions. Both competitions start with nominations from branch members followed by a round of judging by volunteers who visit all of the top nominations.
CAMRA’s Pub of the Year is the annual competition to find the very best pub in the UK. We’ve been highlighting the best pubs in the country since 1988, and the competition helps to showcase quality pubs around the UK that are worth seeking out and visiting. It’s all about finding the cream of the crop and the best place for you to enjoy a pint of cask ale. Some may also have good quality real cider or perry for you to sample.
See Awards for more details and information about forthcoming presentations.
Branch Pub of the Year 2026
The Branch Pub of the Year this year is the Crown, Horsell. The focus of the Crown is on serving great beer to their enthusiastic and loyal customer base. There are six hand pumps, three of which always serve Thurstons beers which are brewed just a one minute walk from the pub. Other locally brewed ales such as those from Surrey Hills and Tillingbourne often feature on the other three hand pumps.
Branch Club of the Year 2026
The Branch Club of the Year is Woking Railway Athletic Club. This friendly and lively social club is tucked away near Victoria Arch, serving an ever-changing selection of ales, often from local breweries, normally three at a time.
